A memorial lunch has been held at conferences for many years in honor of Scott Porter, a Dispatcher from St. Francois County who lost his life in a motorcycle accident after working his duty shift.

In 2011, as MONENA and MOAPCO conferences combined, the associations moved to also honor George Major, the MOAPCO President and Webster County Director who passed away in 2009. As we continue to grow as a conference and a community, we wish to honor those from within our community who are missing from our ranks.
