Each of the three Associations has established and dedicated memorial scholarships in honor of peers who have made an enormous impact in the profession, and have departed before their time. These scholarships are a way that their legacy continues to live on and helps emergency communications professionals attend the MPSCC who might otherwise be unable to. 

Leon Harden Memorial Scholarship - Missouri NENA

Leon Hardie was a long-time member of NENA and a founder of the Emergency Number Professional program. He made great strides in advancing 9-1-1 in the state of Missouri. Missouri NENA is proud to honor his name through this scholarship. This scholarship includes conference registration and three nights of lodging. More information can be found in the application packet. Membership is not required.

Frank Foster Memorial Scholarship - Missouri 9-1-1 Director's Association

Frank Foster was a true friend to the 9-1-1 profession, providing legal insight throughout the legislative process and regarding Missouri’s Sunshine Laws until his unexpected passing in 2022. The Missouri 911DA is pleased to offer this scholarship to advance the continuing education and professional development of Missouri’s emergency communications profession. This scholarship covers up to $500 in expenses related to attending the MPSCC, including registration, lodging and milage. MEMBERSHIP REQUIRED.

Matthew Knight Memorial Scholarship - Missouri APCO

Matthew Knight served as a dedicated member of the Missouri Public Safety Communications Conference and as the Commercial Advisor for Missouri APCO until his unexpected passing in 2021. During his time with the MPSCC, he worked to build partnerships with commercial entities and helped create the exhibit hall that the MPSCC is known for.  Missouri APCO is honored to offer a full ride scholarship to attend the MPSCC. Membership is not required.
